Perfect summer escape from Seoul… well, almost perfect!Gapyeong is only an hour and a half’s drive from Seoul and boasts a plethora of hotels, unique stays and pensions around its main attraction, Cheongpyeong Lake and Homyeong Lake.There’s no shortage of activities either. Between hiking routes, water sports like tubing and paddle boarding and full-blown water obstacle courses (exclusively in high season) you’ll find it hard to feel bored during your weekend escape from the city.And while most people prefer to unwind, relax and do a whole lot of nothing during a weekend at the lake, we had quite the adventure ourselves. Best Weekend Trip From Seoul: Gapyeong, South Korea (Not What We Expected)
🚢Dream boat or night from hell? 👀Would you sleep on a ferry for 9 hours and then wake up in paradise?We heard horror stories about thia boag online... But our travel dates and time contraints gave us no other choice than to check it out for ourselves. It was actually a truly fun (and memorable) experience. Sure it was a little chaotic what with thr ship essentially neing used to transport cargo to the islands... But the bed was surprisingly comfortable and everyone respected quiet time. Bonus: no accomodation cost for that night AND no time wasted traveling! 10/10 would recommend!Would you do this? Must visit temple in South Korea !🇰🇷This hidden gem is located in Gimcheon, a city in the middle of Korea. You can reach it through the KTX (about 3 hours from Seoul) and it makes for the perfect day trip to get out of the city and see some of the quieter side of Korea. Ok so this trend is much harder than it looks! Mostly because the food we ate was “uncheersable” and holding your phone directly above the object creates a shadow 😅Any other creators out there ever try a trend on a trip and then come home to realize they were complete noobs?🙈But we DID love everything we ate in Thailand though!
